Engineering is something I m not involved or really interested in….. But beyond zat its a field which is supposed to get ze benefits of non-biological (some extent of biology, but most of biology goes into medicine) sciences to ze ppl, oh and make things which is usable by one section of society or ze other…... Which in essence means zat engineers make everything from ze 40 or so Iridium satellites up in ze sky, ze ISS, ze Spirit and Opportunity rovers, ze Space shuttles (Columbia, Endeavor, Atlanta, Challenger, Discovery) windows, Mac OSX, roomba, aibo, iPods, my TV, my VCR, and my fridges (for all I care u cud be getting urs from some chimpish factory which employs rhesus monkeys to do their designing and uses slave labour to make zeir things, I usually buy things from companies which I am decently sure have employed an engineer, though non-employment of chimps is not something I can realllllllllly check up on) among others….... A lot of engineers r really coooooooool ppl, in fact I have nothing against their line of work just a nagging feeling zat I won’t be very good at it, however even good ppl make mistakes, and umm no one really preped for ze chimp conspiracy ray, which is where my fridge, or fridges as ze case is step in…...... To meet my food, water and film storage requirements we own not one but two fridges, one huge one from one huge company which is relatively new, has fancy features like frost free, has plastic fittments only (except of course for ze horizontal racks) is not made by the Indians, Koreans or Chinese, and is mostly filled with raw vegetables, films (lots and lots of film in zat refrigerator, and urnt getting one of those, no u rnt, its all mine), and water, infact most of r daily water supply, since me and me dad require cooooooooold water in winters; and another small one from a small company based in India which is older than I am, has no fancy sounding tech, is small, has mostly metal fittings, and is used to store cooked food, bread, and small amounts of water which r more easily accessible, and has worked well ever since it was born…............. Neone looking at my older Alwyn fridge wud realize zat ze engineers designing it weren’t all that imaginative, and essentially ended up making a refrigerated box with racks and a little net on its door which allows u to keeeep water in it, while ze ppl designing ze Whirlpool one were imaginative enuf to include loads of different storage options some with completely separate temp adjustments, which is all very good except that it increases ze number of things which can go bad and umm kindda like ze space shuttle the big things (compressors in case of fridges, engines in case of the shuttle) never actually go bad ‘coz they go thru extremely rigorous testing procedures, what does go bad r ze little things…........ A little less than a yr back space shuttle Columbia forgot what controlled landings were, and ended up killing seven ppl, one of whom was a war hero who had destroyed nuclear facilities, and one of whom was supposed to be a really funny guy, all becoz one of ze thermal insulation tiles broke off on take off, sad. Well today my fridge decided to give us trouble, and um forgot zat due to gravity, support was needed to hold onto ze bottles in ze beverage rack…... And as expected a whole of 7.5 kgs of water (5*1.5 l * 1g/cc * 1000cc/l * 1kg/1000g) ended up on ze floor, and all becoz two thin fancy pieces of plastic which hold up one of two supports which hold up ze rack decided that they had enuf of holding up water, and wanted something better to do, so zey let go…...... Sad specially if u consider zat ze little fridge with its unsophisticated, ugly metal rack is probably gonna outlive ze bigger more well designed piece of plastic and all becoz ze engineers knew zat small looks better (though recent experience has shown ze panda zat it doesn’t necessarily work better)..... However considering zat ze chimp conspiracy ray is at work, it is entirely possible zat it affects plastic and hence ze engineers r not at fault…........ But then its also possible zat ze Columbia disaster was a result of a prelim test of ze Chimp conspiracy ray, we never wud know now wud we (its also possible zat chimpish govts ze world over r hiding facts abt ze chimp conspiracy ray from zeir ppl, and putting it in in their defense budget or something, can’t be sure abt that now can we)........................

Me finally did share me cooooookies with someone…...... Zis little gurl who lives in me servant quater lost a pet bird today, so me let me mom give her half of me coooookies, since she was sad abt it, and shes verrrrrrrrry verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry smalllllll…..

While flipping thru an old copy of RD I came across an interview with Jet Li ( u know ze chimpish guy who acted in Romeo Must Die) in which he says some instructor once asked him whether he wanted to be a panda or a champion and how he chose to be a champion….... Now I am betting here zat his instructor gave him a choice between being a panda and a chimp and he chose chimp, but his chimpish mind wanted to obscure facts from ze RD ppl and hence he told them zat his choice was between being a panda and a champion…...... Now while I seriously loved romeo must die, I’m having second thoughts abt seeing ne of his other movies, specially since he’s degrading pandas and proclaiming wisdom in not being a panda…............. Me demand zat he apologize for zat comment and present facts as zey were correctly, in fact for zis comment he shud also be forced to reveal ze exact location from which ze chimp conspiracy ray is being launched, however with most of ze damn judges under its influence I can’t really be sure abt zem giving a rational decision now can u???????????????????????

Ze guys at Nasa r also pretty happy tonite, with their recent successes, and have been giving seemingly hyooooooooooooge press conferences and r really happpppppppppppy abt collecting stardust and going 2 mars….......... Me says good for zem and hope ze chimp conspiracy ray doesn’t affect them 2 much nemore….....
