Brown interview, Imagine, …………..

(FOR SOME STRANGE REASON TODAY=YESTERDAY ALL THRU OUT THIS PARAGRAPH)Never assume nething, so seems to be ze motto of today….. And ain’t so just fer me, a look at my friend’s blog for his version of not assuming, though I suggest u don’t go thru ne of the comments for his post ‘coz a lot of them r written by someone whose achievements in English parallel my achievements in sports and who fer some reason keeps on referring to his rather confused sexuality…. But neways that being so, and coming back to my day, umm well it all started with a headache, a huge one at zat, as I moped around wondering abt how cud I prep for an interview without the interviewer’s name, specially since I believe in giving at least 5 secs (ya I know it shud be 5 mins but I get bored easily) of prep per min of an interview, and well I wasn’t even sure I’d end up having my interview since ze directory services said ze address was an exim (export/import for ze uninitiated) company, and well from ze sound of it she didn’t sound like a worker or owner for ne exim business, hence ze killer headache….. So halfway thru ze day and after a rather tense hour of watching Proof of Life, me decided to throw caution to ze wind, not prepare, reach ze place, and let events take zeir own course….. And oh boy did zey take zeir own course, me interview lasted an hour and a half, felt more like 15 minutes, and was one of ze most enjoyable interviews (at par if not better zan my Yale interview) that I have been to….. Now zis is rather late for an interview and while I don’t wanna read too much into zis late an interview, I hope its a good omen, ‘coz Brown has suddenly gone higher on my list of where I wanna be zis year, and I am desperately hoping I get thru Brown….....

My search for ze interviewer’s name wasn’t a complete failure though, since following a rather bizarre series of links I ended up reading abt John Lenon’s album Imagine and in particular abt its intriguing title track, and umm being ze panda that I am me ended up downloading, and then listening to it, and listening to it, and listening to it, and I am listening to it even as I write zis….. Now b4 u start telling me abt how most Beatles songs r good, well I have heard a lot of zeir songs, courtesy a surd who used to entertain me with his renderation of ze Yellow Submarine as I sat in ze comp lab doing work for exun, and who introduced me to a lot 60s and 70s rock bands by playing them at an insanely high volume, and well frankly I didn’t much like their songs, but Imagine is somehow different, somehow softer, more melodious and has a better message, and well I do recommend ppl to actually listen to zis, hell play it aloud in assemblies, the lyrics r quite interesting on their own (though imagining someone singing an unmelodious version of Imagine sends me into fits of laughter).............

Ze Panda
still happy abt ze Brown interview….......
