There are things happening this week, there are many things happening this week, let us see… There is the nunnery pub quiz, which though not at a pub, is still a quiz and keeps most of the rules of pub quizzes, and of course there is Life of Brian. Hotel Rwanda last night, was weird to say the least, I have always believed The Killing Fields was one of the best movies when it came round to showing the gruesome side of human conflicts, well The Killing Fields has swamps full of dead people, and crazy people aplenty, kids in arms and things, but Hotel Rwanda takes it a step further, from Chinese machetes, to people hacking away at people, to the utter senselessness of it all. It was kind of nice, in that it was thought provoking, but it was weird, it’s a good movie, and I suggest people watch it, though I also suggest not watching it too often. Besides it makes you feel some of the UN Peace Keeping Forces pain, some anger towards the EU, and the European Intervention Force, which did act in true European fashion in someways, meh it’s a nice movie.
Pub Quiz, oh Pub Quiz, which was not at a pub, and probably broke n >1 rules of how pub quizzes should be held, but was great fun nevertheless, there were questions I loved, and questions I detested, but then isn’t that true of any quiz. Hmm this week has made me reach the depths of being non-productive, I haven’t really done much, my accomplishments for the week read off as completing a CS final, and my math hw, and little else, my sleep time this week has not been significant either, and I really don’t know what to do, because I have too much to do, and too little motivation to actually do any of it…
Physics final, oh the physics final, it is going to be here soon, and I don’t know how to prepare for this, I know nothing or everything, and I really don’t want to read more of this book… Today is the last day of reading period, I have my first exam tomorrow, and I have other stuff to do today, and I have to study for this exam, but I have stuff to do too. Hmm it gets more interesting, I actually enjoy some of this, OK correction I have always enjoyed some of this, just not as a part of preparing for exams and the like.
So it is decided caffeine as served by Starbucks doesn’t really do it for me, perhaps something else would, but hell this stuff is supposed to keep me awake, hmm OK my tying speed does seem to indicate that I am kind of awake, but well it isn’t really working that well with remembering things about Richardsonian Romanesque and stuff…
Hmm so fine this is kind of a restart but whatever, I am kind of done with architecture, and physics, done for this semester with those, all I have left is two math exams, somehow that doesn’t scare me as much as everything else did so far, I have written a few long e-mails and there are things I meant to do some time ago which I haven’t. Well OK let’s see, I cleaned up, and packed up a portion of my room today, which as anyone who has seen my room in either continents can tell you is a near impossible task, but it is happening, and it is making my room look weird, and I have an issue with the library but that is on its way to being resolved, and I have a lease for an apartment for a month, which pretty much solves my problems for umm let’s see all of summer. For all who don’t know, I am going to be in Providence for most of June, then heading to Park City, which is 40 or so miles away from Salt Lake City (yes I know Utah, but then they also hold the Sundance film festival at this place every January, hence it should be reasonably ok), and then flying back home. I’ll be home on July 16th, and though I know nothing about what is being planned, I might actually try and squeeze in a programming contest somewhere in there, something which I have been discussing with people back home, but am not sure about, for I don’t know whether I will actually have the time or the inclination to do it, but for weird reasons it should be fun. As for those attempting to reach me, I should be available via cellphone or e-mail (hmm explanation follows). Also in general some people have sent me e-mails, which I probably haven’t responded to, those e-mails were also probably sent to my hotmail account, but since MSN switched off access to Hotmail via Entourage, I rarely if ever check my mail there, and thanks to Microsoft’s general expansion of my mailbox size, it is usually impossible to get it all filled up, and hence mails keep reaching me, with the net effect that I don’t actually end up reading most of it.
Anyways as for the rest of it, while I continue to be peeved about certain things, I don’t think mentioning it here makes much sense, seeing as not many people know context or other background information, and of late I seem to have reached a state where people take some of my writing a lot more seriously than it is intended to be taken, ok I am kind of wrong about that, most times when I am pissed, I write pissed, same with everything else, but umm there are things which I am facing now, which are really hard to explain, and hence hard to contextualize, and hence when mentioned either confuse people, or cause weird issues, for which I kind of (but not completely) apologize. However in new, non-weird news, I have realized I don’t really like drinks which contain ice, coffee, and flavoring, well OK in general I don’t like drinks containing coffee, but yesterday I was really sleepy at around 7, and I needed to study for exam, and hence as a last resort (Diet Coke failed), tried out above mentioned combination, which worked, but kept me awake long after it should have, so hence made it necessary (not sure) to get another such combination today, which worked pretty successfully, since I did know everything in the exam, and liked it somewhat. But I digress, the above mentioned combination, tastes much like bitter water, there is an initial surge of sweetness, and then it’s all bitter water with ice, making it freakish and horrid in my opinion, but then again it keeps me awake.
